Thomas Tough and Susan --

Thomas Tough was probably the son of William Tough and (Joanna --?). He was admitted to the manor 28 August 1560. Thomas married Susan --.

Thomas was buried 24 May 1586 at nearby Rothley,
Leicestershire, England. He wrote his will 20 May 1586 (he was a yeoman, living at Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, England, which is very near Rothley, at the time and probably died there). Susan was buried 30 November 1592 in Rothley, Leicestershire, England.

Thomas and Susan’s children are:

  1. Thomas Tough, mentioned in his father's will, of age when his father died in 1586, married Elizabeth --, died in 1619.
  2. Ralph Tough, mentioned in his father's will, under age when his father died in 1586, resided at Burrough-on-the-Hill, Leicestershire, England, first appears on the Court Rolls in 1593 (35 Elizabeth) (as Raulf Tough "frere Tho. do feot Tho.," along with Thomas Tough "fits Tho."), probably the churchwarden at Burrough-on-the-Hill in 1612.
  3. Margaret Tough, mentioned in her father's will, under age when her father died in 1586.
  4. Jeane Tough, mentioned in her father's will, under age when her father died in 1586.
