Albert Janszen and Elsje Jans Neven
Albert Janszen married first Hilletje Willems and second Elsje Jans Neven 14 Sep 1652 in New Amsterdam, New Netherland. Elsje was from "Eckelvaer" [1], Holstein (now a part of Germany). She had married first David Clement and, after Albert's death, she married third Otto Grim [2] 28 Sep 1664 in New Amsterdam, New Netherland.

[1] I have not yet found an Eckelvaer in Holstein. The closest that I have found is Eckernförde, Holstein. This may be a place to start researching for Elsje. However, do not exclude other possible towns as her birthplace. Footnotes
[2] Albert and Elsje's daughter, Elsje, in one of her children's baptismal records, is listed under her stepfather's name - Elsje Grim. She was ten years old when her mother married Otto. The use of the name Grim, the patronym Alberts, and the presence of Grietje Alberts as a baptismal witness for one of the Provoost children confirm that Elsje, the wife of Benjamin Provoost, was the daughter of Albert and Elsje.
[3] There were two Marritje Alberts married that year. The fact that Albert and Elsje's daughter, Marritje, married Jan Van Loonen (or Van Loon) can be verified through the following record found the New Amsterdam baptismal records: "14 Oct; (Parents) Jan Van Loon, Maria Alberts; (Child) Nicolaes; (Witnesses) Gerrit Van Hoorn, Catharina Provoost" The presence of a Provoost and Gerrit van Hoorn (who is known to have married a Provoost) indicate a close relationship between the Van Loons and the Provoosts, the family that Marritje's sister married into.
[4] I believe that Elpken Neven is the same person as Elsje Jans. The marriage record is at the right time (almost a year before Albert and Elsje's first child is baptized). In addition, their daughter, Elsje Alberts, had a son, Albertus, baptized with a witness named Elsie Neuen (keep in mind that the letter u and the letter v was often interchangeable in the writing of that time). Elpken is an unusual name that I have not come across in my research anywhere else and, therefore, can be seen as the domine's creative spelling of Elsje.
