- Alice Dale, baptized 9 May 1544 in Burstall, Suffolk, England. Myrtle Stevens Hyde felt that the Alice baptized in 1544 was a different one than the Alice who was buried in 1547/8 since Robert, in his will, mentioned a daughter named Alice and that Agnes was his youngest daughter. She proposed a possible scenario where the first Alice became ill and Robert and Joan named their next daughter Alice to ensure that an Alice remained in the family. Certainly, if Alice in the will was older than Agnes, it was more likely that she was born before Philip, as there was likely little to not enough time between Philip's likely birth and Agnes' to fit a pregnancy with another child. Regardless of whether the second Alice was indeed born while the first Alice was alive or not, there were almost certainly two daughters named Alice in this family.
