Peter Schäfer married Anna Margaretha —. Anna Margaretha was born about 1733 in Meisenheim, Rheinland Palatinate, Germany. It is not currently known if Peter died in Germany or if he lived long enough to have migrated to Russia with his wife and children. If he was alive when the family went to Russia, he would have died on the way or near St. Petersburg while awaiting

Anna Margaretha married second Matthias Kumpallo. Matthias was born about 1743 in Bernkastel, Rheinland Palatinate, Germany. He was an Ackerbauer (farmer).

Anna Margaretha settled, along with Matthias and her children from her first marriage, in Louis, Samara, Russia 14 June 1766.

Peter and Anna Margaretha’s children are:

1 Nikolaus Schäfer, born about 1750 in Meisenheim, Rheinland Palatinate, Germany, married 1) Anna Maria Eckhardt, moved to Graf, Samara, Russia in 1788, married 2) Anna Maria Engel 25 Jan 1794 in Graf, Samara, Russia, died in 1820 in Graf, Samara, Russia.

Wife 1: Anna Maria Eckhardt,
b. abt. 1748 in Meisenheim, Rheinland Palatinate, Germany to Peter Eckhardt and Maria Anna —, d. 20 Oct 1793 in Graf, Samara, Russia.

Wife 2: Anna Maria Engel,
b. abt. 1776, either in Wittmann, Samara, Russia or Graf, Samara, Russia.

Children (by Anna Maria Eckhardt): Catharina Schäfer (d. as a young woman), Nicolaus

Husband 1: Nikolaus Chaminé, b. abt. 1736 in Trier, Rheinland Palatinate, Germany, m. 1) Margaretha —.

Husband 2: Martin Wilhelm, b. abt. 1754 (according to 1798 census) or 1767 (according to death record), lived in Louis, Samara, Russia prior to 1788, d. 1829 in Graf, Samara, Russia, d. 3 May 1829 in Graf, Samara, Russia.

Child (by Nikolaus): Nikolaus Chaminé (last name also spelled Schamne; m. Walburga —).

Children (by Martin): Anna Maria Magdalena Wilhelm and Peter Wilhelm (m. Susanna —).

3 Peter Schäfer, born about 1756 in Meisenheim, Rheinland Palatinate, Germany, listed as having resided in Graf, Samara, Russia prior to 1798 and in Louis, Samara, Russia in 1798 (likely moved from Louis to Graf, then back to Louis), married 1) — — and 2) Margaretha Eckhardt.

Wife 1: name not known. Her existence is implied by the fact that Peter's second wife was far too young to be the mother of his eldest child.

Wife 2: Margaretha Eckhardt,
b. abt. 1777, prob. dau. of Peter Eckhardt and Maria Anna —.

Child (by probable first wife): Andreas Schäfer (m. Margaretha —).
