Peter Schönberger was born about 1736 in Saarbrücken, Saarland, Russia. He was listed as a Catholic and a farmer.

Peter married first Katharina Lick in 1765 in Roßlau, Anhalt-Zerbst, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany (Roßlau was a gathering place for those immigrating to the Volga colonies). Katharina was born about 1743, probably in Saarbrücken, Saarland, Russia. They settled in Louis, Samara, Russia 14 June 1766.

Peter married second Barbara Herr. Barbara was born about 1744. She was listed in 1798 as coming from Louis but she was probably born in or around Germany.

In 1788, the family moved from Louis to Herzog, Samara, Russia.

Barbara died 30 April 1806 in Herzog, Samara, Russia. Peter died 20 April 1810 in Herzog, Samara, Russia.
