Besides his wives and the two children below, he also mentioned his wife's daughter (not specifying which wife), his sister's children (sister not named), a nephew Thomas (last name not given), and a cousin (kinsman) named Simond (last name not given).
He was buried in the church at Stratford St. Mary, Suffolk, England, according to the 1586 will of his great-great-grandson, William Smithe, gentleman, of Stratford St. Mary.
John’s children (mother not known in either case) are:
- William Smith, named in his father's will, married 1) -- -- and 2) Katherine Brown (dau. of -- and Anne (--) Browne, will made 24 Sep 1511 and proved 12 Jan 1511/2), will made 29 Oct 1492 and proved 6 Feb 1492/3, a resident of Stratford St. Mary, Suffolk, England.
