Johann Georg Kohlmann was born about 1752 in Zweibrücken, Rheinland Palatinate, Germany to Georg Friedrich Kohlmann and Katharina —. He was also called Hans Georg (Hans being short for Johann) and Georg. Georg settled at Rohleder, Samara, Russia 14 July 1766 at the age of 14 with his parents and siblings.
Georg married Maria Magdalena Junker. Maria Magdalena was baptized 11 November 1759 in Becherbach, Rheinland Palatinate, Germany, the daughter of Johann Nikolaus Junker and Anna Margarethe —. She also appears under the name Helene. Maria Magdalena settled at Rohleder on the same day as her future husband. She was five and arrived with her parents, older half-sister, and younger brother.
Georg died suddenly 28 August 1814 in Rohleder, Samara, Russia. Magdalena died 7 June 1841 in Rohleder, Samara, Russia of consumption.
