Johann Friedrich Lauber and Eva Elisabeth —

Citing this biography: Boyd, Michelle, "Johann Friedrich Lauber and Eva Elisabeth —," article, Olive and Eliza, last accessed [current date]."

Johann Friedrich Lauber (last name also spelled Laaber, Laber, Labere, and Labert) was born about 1741 or 1743 in Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark. Friedrich married first Eva Elisabeth —. Eva Elisabeth was born about 1742, probably also in Copenhagen.

Friedrich and Eva Elisabeth settled in Graf, Samara, Russia 14 Feb 1767. Friedrich was listed as a Catholic and a Handwerker (craftsman).

Friedrich married second Anna Christina Shvikish (b. 1763, of Schwed, Russia).

Friedrich and Eva Elisabeth’s children are:

1 Possibly Anna Maria Lauber, reportedly in her forties in the 1798 census (though her recorded age is said to be difficult to read), from Herzog, Samara, Russia, married 1) — Hofstetter and 2) Friedrich Jäkel, her family lost their livestock to plague in 1798 and they hired out as cattle herders in the colonies of Stahl am Karaman and Schwed.

Husband: Friedrich Jäkel, b. 1744 in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, a Catholic and a farmer, m. 1) Maria Margaretha Wulff, settled in Graf, Samara, Russia 10 June 1766.

2 Possibly Conrad Lauber, appeared as a baptismal witness in Graf, Samara, Russia in 1792.

3 Possibly Mariana Lauber, appeared as a baptismal witness in Graf, Samara, Russia in 1795.

4 Possibly Maria Eleonora Lauber, born about 1756, of Herzog, Samara, Russia, married Johannes Kreutzer, appeared as the mother in a baptismal record in Herzog, Samara, Russia 25 Mar 1793.

Husband: Johannes Kreutzer, b. abt. 1752 in Herzog, Samara, Russia, listed as invalid in 1798.

Child: Andreas Kraitser (m. Gertrude Hoffman), Michael Kraitser, Johannes Kraitser, Kasper Kraitser, Adam Kraitser, and Johannes Peter Kreutzer.

5 Possibly Maria Elisabeth Lauber, married Peter Meier 13 Nov 1794 in Graf, Samara, Russia (last name spelled Majer in their marriage record and Meier in baptismal records for their children).

Husband: Peter Meier.

Children: Erasmus Anton Meier, Anna Barbara Meier, Johann Peter Meier, Johann Anton Meier, and Ursula Meier.

Friedrich and Anna Christina's children are:

6 Johann Tobias Lauber, born about 1784 in Graf, Samara, Russia, married Anna Elisabetha Frank 1804 in Rohleder parish, Samara, Russia, died 1834 in Graf, Samara, Russia.

Wife: Anna Elisabetha Frank.

Children:
Maria Elisabetha Lauber, Anna Margaretha Lauber, Margaretha Lauber, Magdalena Lauber, Adam Lauber, Katharina Lauber,
and Conrad Lauber.

7 Ignatius Lauber, born about 1785 in Graf, Samara, Russia, married Anna Maria Gerber by 1806, died 1834 in Graf, Samara, Russia.
There are several records of a Johann Adam Lauber, who married an Anna Maria Gerber 7 Feb 1805 in Graf, had a son Henricus baptized in 1810 in Graf, and died 22 May 1834 (age 50) in Graf. A comparison of many of the facts about Johann Adam and Ignatius raises the possibility that they were actually the same person (wives have the same name, the 1834 census records that Ignatius had a son Heinrich (born in 1810) and died in 1834). If they were the same, perhaps Ignatius was an Ignatius Johann Adam (or Johann Adam Ignatius) or else there was an error in the record.

Wife: Anna Maria Gerber, born about 1780.

Children: Nicolaus Tobias Lauber, Christina Lauber (m. Franz Knoll, son of Franz Knoll and Elisabetha Hochweiss), Heinrich Lauber, Georg Peter Lauber, Elisabetha Lauber, Johannes Lauber, Peter Lauber, and Georg Lauber.

8 Johannes Georg Lauber, born 1808 in Graf, Samara, Russia, died 1824 in Graf, Samara, Russia.

9 Maria Anna Lauber, born 1814 in Graf, Samara, Russia.

May be the son of Friedrich (or grandson of Friedrich, if either Conrad was indeed his son and old enough to have children of this age or if Friedrich had an unrecorded son old enough to have children of this age):

10 Johan Frideric Lauber, married Ludovica Hardinger by 1805.

Wife: Ludovica Hardinger.

Children: Maria Elisabetha Lauber, Mathias Samuel Lauber, Johann Georg Lauber, Magdalena Lauber, and Maria Catharina Lauber.
