Citing this biography: Boyd, Michelle, "Johann Georg Müller and Katharina Stenger," article, Olive and Eliza, last accessed [current date]."
Johann Georg Müller was probably the Georg Müller who settled at
Leichtling, Saratov, Russia 14 May 1767. This Georg was born about 1739
in Seligenstadt, Hesse, Germany, was married to Anna Margaretha
Franz (born about 1732), and was a Catholic and a farmer. Note
that in the other records where Johann Georg appears, his birthdate is
not consistent. According to the First Settlers List, he would have been
born about 1743 and according to his burial record, he would have been
born about 1734.
Johann Georg married (probably second) Katharina Stenger.
Katharina was born about 1753 in the Electorate of Mainz to Caspar
Stenger and Martha --. Katharina arrived in Russia from
Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany 18 June 1766, aboard the ship Die
Perle. Unfortunately, both of her parents, along with three of her
four siblings, died after their arrival and before their settlement in a
colony. Katharina and her brother Franz settled in Leichtling, Saratov,
Russia 14 May 1767. They were living in the household of one Bernhard
Eder, a tailor from Vienna, Austria, and his wife Katharina
(Walter) Eder, who arrived aboard the same ship and apparently
lost their two children in the same time period that Katharina lost most
of her family. There is no indication of any familial relationship
between the Stengers and the Eders and, considering the distance between
their origins, it is not likely that they were related.
Johann Georg was buried 9 December 1809 in Leichtling, Saratov, Russia.
Katharina was buried 8 July 1812 in Leichtling, Saratov, Russia.
Johann Georg and Anna Margaretha's child is (assuming that Johann Georg is the same as the settler Georg Müller):
1 | Johann
Paul Müller, born about 1766, moved to Kamenka, Saratov,
Russia in 1790, married 1) -- -- and 2) Anna Maria
Beyer, died in 1824. Wife 1: name unknown, m. 1) Joseph Keller. Wife 2: Anna Maria Beyer, b. abt. 1770. |
Johann Georg and Katharina's children are:

Walter by 1803, died in 1824. Wife: Catharina Walter, b. abt. 1774. |

about 1784 in Leichtling, Saratov, Russia, married Maria
Dorothea Elzbach 10 Jan 1809 in Leichtling, Saratov, Russia,

Holzman 16 Feb 1806 in Leichtling, Saratov, Russia, died

about 1789 in Leichtling, Saratov, Russia, married Johan

about 1792 in Leichtling, Saratov, Russia, married Johan Peter
Bierwirth 24 Jan 1810 in Göbel, Saratov, Russia, died before
1850. Husband: Johan Peter Bierwirth, b. abt. 1793, d. 1852. |
