Georg Anton Schäfer and Catharina Elisabetha Bellentier

Georg Anton Schäfer was born about 1759 to Konrad Schäfer and Elisabeta Schrill. He arrived in Russia from Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany 8 August 1766 with his mother, stepfather, and sister. It is not known where Georg Anton and his family came from but his stepfather is recorded as coming from either the regions of Fulda and Pfalz. The family settled in Köhler, Saratov, Russia 21 August 1767.

Georg Anton married first Maria Katharina Leister (born about 1757) and second Catharina Elisabetha Bellentier in 1803 in Köhler, Saratov, Russia. Catharina Elisabetha was born about 1780, probably in Köhler, Saratov, Russia, to Johannes Pelletier and Anna Maria Schneider.
