Heinrich Walter and Julianna —

Citing this biography: Boyd, Michelle, "Heinrich Walter and Julianna —," article, Olive and Eliza, last accessed [current date]."

Heinrich Walter was born 1721 in Schlierbach, Hesse, Germany. He married first Julianna —. They arrived in Russia from Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany 29 August 1766. He was listed as a Catholic farmer.

Julianna apparently died between the time of arrival in Russia and settling in a colony. Heinrich married second Appolonia — and then settled in Göbel, Saratov, Russia 20 August 1767. Appolonia was born about 1741.

Further Clues about the Walter Family

Heinrich is likely related to Hartmann Walter, who arrived with his family aboard the same ship as Heinrich and his family and he settled in Göbel on the same day as Heinrich. Hartmann was born about 1731, perhaps in Schlierbach, and married Gertrude Fuchs. He served as a Beisitzer (vice mayor) of the colony.

Heinrich and Julianna’s children are:

1 Johann Peter Walter, born about 1747 in Schlierbach, Hesse, Germany, married Eva Vierheilig.

Wife: Eva Vierheilig, b. abt. 1752, m. 1) Konrad Lipp.

2 Conrad Walter, born about 1749 in Schlierbach, Hesse, Germany, married Elisabeth Schauberger.

Wife: Elisabeth Schauberger, b. abt. 1754 in Hildmann, Saratov, Russia.

3 Philipp Walter, born about 1756 in Schlierbach, Hesse, Germany.

4 Anna Margaretha Walter, born about 1757 in Schlierbach, Hesse, Germany, married Nikolaus Herrmann.

Wife: Nikolaus Herrmann, b. abt. 1747 in Alzey, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany to widow Katharina (--) Herrmann, m. 1) Katharina —, settled in Leichtling, Saratov, Russia 14 May 1767, d. 1818.

5 Charlotta Walter, born about 1761 in Schlierbach, Hesse, Germany, probably died between the time the family arrived in Russia and the time they settled in a colony.

6 Hartmann Walter, born about 1763 in Schlierbach, Hesse, Germany, probably died between the time the family arrived in Russia and the time they settled in a colony.
